Strange Days

I was inspired today to start a painting for my friend. He asked for it months ago, but I was at a loss on how to go about it, then I started working so much. I never got to it. Last night a new idea struck about an unconventional frame for the canvas. It is going to be of Joker (the comic), so I am going to do a very dramatic trapazoid frame. I am so excited. I talked to him today and he asked that I do it in glossy paint, which is even cooler. That way I can make the background flat with some varnished touches. Yeah!

I talked to two good friends today (besides my family and my friend Bill). Both were long distance, long standing relationships. I love it when I hear from them. One called to tell me she was getting married. Oooh i love that she is in her early 40's and God has brought the perfect compliment into her life.

Coffee with my sister at Village Inn (chain kinda like Denny's) started at about 10pm. I am so tired. We found out that our favorite waitress at our least fav restaurant quit. So that is hopefully the last time we eat there for a long time. Their food is quite tasteless. When I first started going there (to this particular one), the pictures of the pies looked soooo delicious. Not. IF they had any in stock that i wanted it tasted like cardboard. :( I say "this particular one" because I have been to their other 10 branches literally hundreds of times over the last 12 years. Been kicked out of quite a few too. In my previous life, we (my brothers, their girlfriends, other "friends") used to go to VI and smoke countless cigs and drink coffee all night till daybreak. This would go on any time of the week and often a few times a week. Ahh...so glad i have a life now.

To top off the night, my sister and I came back to my house and were outside talking for a bit. there were two very inebriated neighbors (late teens, early twenties) who came up and started talking to us. At first I was just being polite and saying hi. They were loud and laughing. My sister was smoking and they asked for a drag. One was bragging that he could do one hand push ups and smoke at the same time. So we took him up on it. He did it. Less than thrilled as we were, unfortunately he continued to try and impress us. By taking off his pants. I said, "oop time to go in" as he continued to run streaking up and down the road, yelping and laughing. OOOh boy. My sister drove off laughing. "Just wait till my husband hears this one!"

Is it just me?
