Love is the catalyst

I wrote this poem a few years ago and just ran across it recently. I realized that God has been faithful to grant me these deep desires of my heart and I am closer than ever to seeing them fulfilled. Thank you to my deep, strong, ever-faithful Love.


Wanting...

To burn my bridges
To watch them all flame
To make the voices fade
To silence the voice of blame
To understand the Truth
To cover all my shame
To uncover this source of love
To know for this You came.

To be held in comfort
To ease the wounds and pain
To be loved, this orphaned heart
To long for You again
To know if I lose faith
To know that You are strong & sane
To build the understanding
That You remain the same
