Foggy Night

As I drove home last night
the fog was so incredible.
I guess because the warm rain was hitting
the cold snow, the fog was dense
It always amazes me that nature
can still outdo even the best special effects
as seen on movies.
That fog rolled on through as if it had
somewhere important to go.
Trees 20 feet away were only partially visible
and not any one part for very long
they seemed to fade in and out like an apparition(sp?)
the silence hung heavy for all the motion about me
I was alone in the world
and it suddenly felt very cold
