Hope is shameless...

...it brazenly appears in the darkest and strangest places

A random thought

Doin' Time

is fine
if you are
the pin cushion type

It is the little things that count
A litlle food after 4 days of nothing
5 hours of sleep in a row
demerol always counts
As long as one doesn't count
hours in a day or
contemplate minutes
in hours-survival is possible

the pinpricks
IV sores
pain of loss of time
the knowledge that somehow
God knew this was going
to happen and hurt
Nothing concrete
except my faith
in God's sovereignty

I found out
I like my uncle
even if he can be a
big kid
My cousin is cool
Christian, mature
Grandpa genuine
caring, concerned
He truly loves
and worries
Simon too

One time in the hospital the nurse remarked about the beautiful the flower arrangement my grandpa gave me.
"They are from my granny's funeral."
I wanted to say
but couldn't
as the tears
flowed quiet, gentle
She was there with me
So was God
