time

Time is an issue. How do you fit all life and eternity into a span of time? I think the reason a lot of us get stressed about finding time is because we were never meant to shove the eternal into this limited life.

My dear friend, Jewel, left yesterday after a wonderful (although somewhat short) visit. We go way back to my YWAM days. My spirit feels so refreshed. It was so good to be able just to hang out in the mountains and in downtown and drink coffee and talk about my favorite subjects, God and family.

I didn't realize just how much I was missing true fellowship with other believers. I also realized that, with a few exceptions, the "fellowship" I get at church is similar to an effect of a drug. It gives an illusion of being full by dulling the senses and only desguising the true pain of hunger. Then you wake up and can't figure out why you seem to be starving. Which also reminds me that I cannot, must not neglect my time with God. That is my true source and satisfaction.
