AWOL with a cause

yesterday I spent all afternoon catching up with a good friend of mine
she was my roomate for over 2.5 years
(yes, I have lived in one place for that amount of time)
she stuck with me through a really dark period in my life

well we got to talk and I went to church(a former Baptist church) with her
wow, I don't think I will be attending there
when you repeat to yourself (all during "worship")
"There IS life in Christ, There IS life in Christ"
it is kinda obvious there isn't much life there.
Thankfully, my friend had not mentioned this issue
beforehand as she wanted to not pollute what I thought of it
We were on the same page.

God is somewhere here in Albuquerque, I just know it! ;)

Anyway we are meeting together a couple of times a week
for prayer and bible study and another time for the exchange
of art lessons for voice lessons....YEAAH!
Maybe I will be able to sing something instead of croaking it out!
That's the plan at least.
oh yeah, and we are still looking for a church to call home.
Next week, Desert Springs Church

on a totally different train speeding the opposite direction...
bumming because I haven't felt decent in at least three days
and the Carolina Panthers lost in the last few seconds of the Super Bawl :(
